Winter Break

Wishing you a happy, healthy holiday season.

There will be no Kundalini class at Palisades Community Church until 2011.

The next session will run January 4-February 8, 2011.

Tomorrow night is the winter solstice, don't forget to try out the Fire Kriya meditiation in preparation, along with yogis worldwide. You can chant along with this recording if you like.

For your home practice, 3HO has a number of sets and meditations on their website: http://www.3ho.org/kundalini-yoga/kundalini-yoga-yb/kriyas-meditations/featured-meditations/

Also, my teacher, Elizabeth Greathouse, is teaching an 8:15 am Kundalini class on New Year's Day at 2100 New Hampshire Ave NW.

Fire it up with Kundalini Yoga

Tonight's set will be the Kriya for the Instinctual Self to create balance in the pelvis and lower chakras, breaking unhelpful patterns.

After a deep relaxation, we will practice the Fire Kriya meditation that Kundalini yogis everywhere are doing in preparation for the winter solstice. The Fire Kriya creates powerful heat to elevate, purify and empower you.

If you want to continue to practice the Fire Kriya on your own, see an explanation here and a recording of the mantra here.

This is the last class of the three-week mini-session (November 30-December 14). If you are not already signed up for the session, drop in anytime for $15/class.
Happy Holidays!
